Tell Me Why...

...I don't like Tuesdays.

Oh yes.  It's dull.  No new webcomics (xkcd, Ctrl-Alt-Delete are both Mon/Wed/Fri), there's ages still until the weekend and for some reason even the news sites and LJ seems to have a lot less traffic, probably because nobody does anything on Mondays.

And I feel in the mood for some conspicuous consumption.  Just can't decide whether to buy an impractical car (a fairly old MGF - cheap, probably unreliable and I'll have to assume that I'll be its final owner) or lots of AV equipment.  Astute readers will observe that there's a serious price difference between these but I don't really care:P

LCD TVs

Well, that's all tricky.

Don't really have a need for bigger than 32".  My living room is too small.  I do however have a desire for 1080p.  There appears to be a contradiction there. I could probably squeeze a 37" into my room, but they're expensive.  And another problem is I don't have an HD source which makes it a bit of an extravagance. 

Was hoping I'd find a nice clearance bargain at Richer Sounds.  They had a couple.  Both Sharps.  Ex-Display.  Trouble is the picture on the (presumably more modern) current display model looked rather grainy.  I can't imagine the older ones being better. 

Will have to set up a piggy bank.  Save up a bit and wait for prices to drop.
