Jobs

So, I've applied for 4 jobs today.

Sometimes I wonder whether I might as well be throwing my CV into a hole.  This week I've applied for several.  I have one interested afent and one very tired sounding agent as well as one company dithering about who they're going to hire.  A lot of this seems odd though.  When you see a position requesting image processing and computer vision specialists, there can't be that many people with relevant skills on their CV surely!  If they talked to me they'd realise I do actually know a fair bit about the subject.

Am getting a bit bored with lack of offers. 

No doubt at some point 3 will come along in a couple of days of each other and I'll have to pick one.  Wish they'd hurry up.

Update:  Well, someone called me, regarding a contract I didn't apply for.  Sounds promising but a bit to early to count chickens.

Once Upon a Time...

Been way too negative.  I need a positive update

Spent last night at flannelcat and penguin_worship's eating birthday cake, fixing cupboard doors and telling stories that went in a very silly way.  "Once Upon a Time" is an awesome game once you get the hang of how interrupt cards actually work. 

It's a fun little game that works really well for groups that like telling stories.  The stories tend to be a little less coherent than the ones from Nano-fictionary since the cards you get are random and there's very little opportunity to exchange and replace, but it's delightfully chaotic at times!
