A Sharp move?
Had interview with a large tech company R&D division in Oxford.
Think it went reasonably well. Just a short interview. Well, yes I do know some bits and pieces abut elementary computer science and a decent grounding in computer vision systems. Still don't have a huge amount of directly relevant experience but this is all kinda specialised.
Plus sides of the job are interesting work, useful work (I think medical diagnostics scores karmic brownie points) and I like Oxford.
Uncertain about this whole permanent employment deal. Aside from this being an effective pay cut it also means I have less time off. Also less variety. Will allow me to settle down and buy a house, which would be nice.
Too early to worry about it yet. They might not even want to do a second interview. I do hope they like the sound of me.
So, who do I know in Oxford?
