Game of thrones tour
This was our guide. A lovely lady named Tonka who knew a hell of a lot about Game Of Thrones!

She helpfully illustrated the tour with photos so we could see where we were

So, let's start with Dubrovnik itself. Here it is.

Of course, once the wizards have their way with it, the walls are extended and we get King's Landing in the background.

Quite a lot happened by these steps. This is where the Lannisters are seeing Myrcella off.

We both had a go at looking like Lannisters. I'm clearly too cheerful.

Flick did a much better job.

Another part of the bay, where we see Sansa standing at the end of the pier, watching ships

And another attempt at reenactment.

This is where they were rounding up Robert Baratheon's bastards

Here it is in real life

They did have to move the canoes out of the way
Our next port of call was the Fort overlooking the city. Most of the stuff was actually filmed here, because it means less closing of chunks of the city. There were a lot of steps to the top,

More CGI magic makes it that little bitmore impressive.

"And this is where Joffrey gets slapped"

The battlements of the fort were the set for a lot of scenes.

THe piles of rocks were left where they are, and covered in cloth

Where the riots started:

This is actually right by the entrance to the city.

And to finish off, there'sa replica of the Iron throne. Here's me doing my best Stark impression (again)

Flick not looking grumpy enough for a Stark

And Ned Stark for contrast
