The power failed, so I couldn't watch TV, so I thought I'd go on the internet (with my mains powered desktop PC and my mains powered cable modem) ... damn, that's not going to work ... ok, I'll spend the time backing up my machine instead ... nope, still no power ... ok, time to mow the lawn until the power comes back on ... with my electric mower ... oh, bugrit, I'll read a book instead!
