Aaargh! And so on.
Work is just a little bit annoying at the moment. We have some exceedingly clever code that makes no sense at all and tries to do a heck of a lot in as complicated a manner as possible, and other bits in as stupid manner that negates the point of doing the clever stuff. Clever huh? Plus the producer/manager guy is never in. I currently have no idea what I'm meant to be doing. Well, actually, I do, but since he doesn't like either of the ways I've come up with o solve a problem, I'm not sure what an acceptable way is.. And two days in a row, the trains haver been totally screwed up. Okay, I only need to go to Clapham Junction, so if the fast south coast service is horribly delayed, I can get the slow stopping service (stops once) but that's always delayed, and they give no indication of when a train might actually leave. I have no idea why a fire at Gatwick causes trains to wait for longer at Victoria. Surely they can still leave!
Sigh. I need to move somewhere where I can walk to and from work. Or maybe get a reliable form of transport.
At least the weekend was fun. I went to a party. My brother's mate's brother - Phil - has moved to a new home, and his girlfriend - Kerry - has just had a birthday, so he had a housewarming party. His girlfriend is a friend of my mum, so she was invited. I seem to have been invited because the rest of the family was. Not that I'm complaining. There were some nice people there. Mary-Anne (another one of the girls from Kerry's workplace) had decided to take a break from her boyfriend and flirt a bit. I seemed to be the flirtee. She seems to be rather fond of me. And she's a lovely girl as well. We chatted about Buffy the Vampire Slayer (she's a faith fan), and William Gibson, and other sci-fi stuff. She didn't seem to know of "Do Androids dream of Electric sheep" though. She was surprised that both I and my brother recommended it. Also met a couple of the neighbours. Lisa and Jane(I believe their parents were invited as well). The complained about the cold, so I provided some body heat. I was rather disappointed later to discover I had been replaced by a coat. Got some good pictures though.

Lisa was a little shy:

I seem to be a lot more of an extrovert after 3 pints of Cider.
Shame nobody wanted to try the fine cider I bought. I had to have it all to myself.... Bristol is much better for this sort of thing.
Oh, and Phil managed to walk into a patio door. Remember - doors work better when open. He left a face shaped mark on it as well. I do feel sorry for him though. We all thought it was highly amusing (well it was!), but the poor guy did get rather bruised as a result.
