Wanna buy a cheap palmtop?
Mar. 19th, 2003 08:40 pmI ordered a cheap PDA earlier (£7). Then I ordered it's big brother (£23). Not a bad prioce considering these are normally £300 and £500 respectively.
It's rather odd that Amazon haven't yet emailed me to tell me it's a mistake, and my order's been cancelled.
This sort of thing often annoys me though. People have a perception that a company that makes a mistake in the pricing is somehow trying to con them, and should therefore be obliged to sell it at that price. I mean, if people want to try their luck, and get something cheap, then that's fair enough, but they seem genuinely annoyed that the companies are not willing to honour the price that was clearly a mistake.
That said, I will hassle them for at least something if and when they cancel the order.
