I find London a rather dreary place when the weather's nice. At least this area is. Give me a decent bit of fog and rain, and I'm happy, but when it's sunny the place looks like a nuclear wasteland. Dusty. Hardly anyone around. Baking heat. The traffic doesn't seem to ruin the deserted effect.
I strolled by the river for a bit. Some rather nice trendy overpriced cafes down that way, and a heliport that never seems to have a helicopter there. It looks like it can easily accommodate a dozen of the things. Walked a bit further, then my path was blocked by a building site.
I've decided to reply to one of those Nigerian Spams (Warning kids. Don't do this at home, at least not without some practice at trolling, and read scamorama first. And make sure you use an untraceable webmail account via a proxy).
Saw X-Men 2 with the Lemming Man. Quite good. Saw X-Men 1 on DVD beforehand as well. They really should have made some throwaway reference to Storms claustrophobia in one of these two films though. It may come in useful for story telling in later films. Was rather pleased with the journey time to Reading though. My house to his flat in 60 minutes was rather good timewise.
Sigh. I need to do something more interesting. Still pondering holidays.
