Went to a car boot sale with C. and J.

Purchases:

Me - GTA: Vice City, keyboard adapter, batteries for laser pointer
J.: Unidentified piece of electronics (15p), and a dreamcast keyboard.
C.: My little pony jigsawss. Two puzzles (with conveniently different backs) in one box. Seemed to be a greek version.

We were going to go for a walk anbd take photos and stuff after, but we woz all too hot. I was pleased to get to drive my car somewhere for a change though. C. didn't seem too pleased with my fondness for taking those corners quickly. But it's a nippy small car. Country roads are what it does best! Anyway, I almost got a tan. Unfortunately I tend to go lobster coloured.

So, we watched some Oh My Goddess videos that C. had bought a couple of days before from a charity shop. These are a real con when sold new. They only put one episode on each tape. The DVDs aren't that much better. The 5 half-hour-episodes came on 2 separate full price discs.

C. asked us to assist with checking her pony jigsaws had all their pieces. Since it was such a girly picture, J. decided to flip it upside down and do the back. I helped. It's a lot harder that way round. C. now very smug, and decided to post a "look what I found" on her message board.

Turned out that the weird piece of electronics was an X-box mod chip. Typical value about £25.

I finally have a selection of kitchen utensils. Still have no idea what happened to my knife. Well, not quite full, but enough for the time being. Need more plates.

Oddity with scam baiting (I will write this up sometime). I received an application form to transfer the money to my account. I filled it in, and got into a long discussion with the remmitance department, who seemed to want to know my associates phone number. Clearly the person I sent it to wasn't anything to do with the scam, but why did it have his email address on it? The only thing I can think of is that he copied the thing verbatim, and didn't change the address.

C. seemed to think that baiting scammers was an odd and disturbing hobby. This is a bit rich from someone who modifies My Little Ponies as a hobby.

Oh yes - C. received a scam in German. I sent it to the appropriate authorities - The Nigerian Scam baiting message board.
