Still not got a job
Nov. 15th, 2003 01:03 pmStill not king.
I did have atelephone interview though. Doubt I'll get the job. don;t care too much. Interview practice was useful.
I have such a dull time when unemployed. My day consists of writing code, chatting on MSN and watching videos. I'm not sure how this differs from being employed, but it seems to.
Nick's been down to visit me and Adrian. Saw some improv stuff on Thursday upstairs from a pub. It was fairly entertaining, but I keep comparing them with the last improve I saw in London, which had a lot of famous names at London's comedy store. They were not as good, but still very funny. It was a little difficult to know what they were doing with the audience participation requests though. Did they have some idea of what they were going to do first?
The pub had a couple of books on shelves as well. They looked very out of place since they had a book on materials science, a book on engineering mathematics, and various novels. Now, anyone who had that sort of selection would have put the science books on the same shelf as each other.
Yesterday we went to see various museums (I'm broke. They're free). If you're ever in the V&A, have a look at Raphael's cartoons (actually paintings used a a basis for tapestries). Then went to covent Garden. Had a look in a seconds bookshop.
I am now the proud owner of a box of mini recipe books from around the world. Also bought a bottle of saki from Battersea food and wine. I'm sure they sell everything I ever need there. Teriyaki chicken tonight.
This week's boardgame was munchkin. I suspect that the game is designed to make fun of role players. They don't seem to have had a head of vecna card though.
