Boardgaming was fun this week.

We didn't actually play any games. [livejournal.com profile] ingaborg was totally out of it, and everyone else was happy to just chat. I thought I'd play a game of naughts and crosses just to keep up appearances. Really need to play a game with [livejournal.com profile] mizzykitty's crowd again. Had fun last time and there'd be few enough of us that we could play Ticket To Ride. Which I've only played once.

How do I stop an agent pestering me without being rude? He's trying. He just doesn't seem to have a clue. I really don't want to relocate to Birmingham. I have a job. It's really not worth it, and I'm not going all that way and taking a whole day off just for inereview practice. He then suggested a place in Liverpool. Sure, it's a good company, but I'm at a perfectly adequate company and even though I don't find London perfect, I at least have a couple of friends within reach. Well, I guess there's the Buffy Mad Goth Girl in Birmingham, but I'd still need to start building up a circle of friends again. I quite like being near London and Woking.

And he kept calling me asking questions that should all have been covered in a single call. And calls me for minor details that could be handled more efficiently by email.

A couple of weeks ago I got charged a penatly fare, and so appealed on a technicality.

I gave the rule number, quoted the rule, and underlined the part that was relevent.

The Independent Penalty Fares Appeal Service rejected my appeal apparently on the grounds that I was travellling without a ticket. No reference to what I actually said. No explanation of why it was invalid. Just a repeat of the reasons for issuing the penalty fare in the first place.

Useless idiots.

And on the subject of useless idiots, I'm useless at taking photos. Nearly all my worldcon pics are rubbish. I had my camera on the wrong setting for the rollerblade quidditch, and I kept chopping the feet off people I took photos of. I need to learn to frame photos properly. I'm sure I was a lot better with an SLR. Ah well. Practice, practice, practice.
