Sci fi musings
May. 17th, 2006 12:46 pmDoctor Who.
Loved Doctor Who. Scary, manacing, cybertastic action. And it's nice that Micky actually has somethingto do that doesn't invlolve being a complete hopeless twerp. Well, okay - Maybe it does, but he's managed to be less annoying with it...
Slight issues with the Cybermen - It doesn't quite fit with previous stories. They've always given the impression that the cybermen happened incrementally, and that the upgrades were essentially voluntary. Starting with replacing damaged organs, then the technology becomes good enough that they start replacing components because they work better, then they eventually just replace the whole lot. Still - these are different cybermen from Earth rather than Mondas, so they can have a different background. It's just that by doing it this way, we lose the moral of the story.
Battestar Galactica.
