A whole weekend of annoyances.
May. 21st, 2006 10:45 pmIt all started with a loud "rumble grumble grrr..." noise on Saturday morning. Actually, if it wasn't for that, I'd have taken everything else in my stride... So I went down, waded into the bathroom, and found a large gush of water had hit the wall opposite the water heater. The water heater was making the noise... I now have no hot water. Harrumph! At least the shower's okay. My car seem to have sprung a leak as well. Most annoying. A small puddle of water had collected around the gearstick this morning. New bed has arrived as well. I put it together, screwed in the middle leg, and found the screws don't work. And I have another pile of cardboard to take to the dump. Which was closed by the time I got there. And my computer was acting up. It was taking a few minutes to boot rather than the 30 seconds or so XP usually takes. I reinstalled. It started working at a nice speed. Then after a couple of reboots, seems to have gone back. And now just about nothing works! I'm going to have to do this whole install thing again! And I hate the windows install process. The damn thing needs so much looking after. Can't it ask for all the region stuff at the start, and then just carry on and get on with it?
Plus side, I did join in with a big Eurovision party. Which was nice, and gave em a chance to relax and put the rest of the weekends little annoyances aside for the night.
