The save game mechanism on the psp is bizarre and confusing, and the docs seems to assume that you already understand how it works.

Technical docs are like that.  They very rarely explain anythign to a newbie.  I would use the Sony sample.  Shame it's horribly complicated and it doesn't compile on this machine.
