Convention now over.  Was fun.  Met lots of people.  Still think Redemption '05 was the best con EVER!  But redemptions are always good.  Hotel was very nice as a Hotel, and have mixed opinions as a convention venue (Will expand on this guys but on another section).  Coventry Oxfam has the best Sci-Fi section I've ever seen in an Oxfam.  The fact that it actually has a sci-fi section is amazing.  Coventry's road system is horrid!

Was on some panels for the first time.  Some were fun.   One I was a little out of my depth.  Steampunk panel was a lot of fun.

Fantastic talk about Forensics and how CSI is not all that accurate...  Although the presenter suggested that real science isn't as sexy as TV science.  I disagree!  Scientists are sexy, dammit!

180 LJ pages to skim over plus piles of stuff to get through on RSS feed.

Wish I managed more sleep. I went to bed at reasonably sensible times, but by brain kept rebelling and woke me up at 7:15.

Was fun driving there and back with [livejournal.com profile] omylouse  and [livejournal.com profile] lemming_man.  Was also nice that I went up on the Thursday to spend the evening with omylous's parents so only had to drive from Birmingham.

Link costume went down well.  Maybe I should have worn that costume all day.  Think I might have got a few costume tokens.  I think I could have won hall costume if I brought it out earlier but wanted to do the Serenity Crew thing.  It was a good look for Steampunk though.

Will add a few more notes as random thoughts come to me.

And some random panel thoughts while I remember:

Need more panels on Steampunk.
One panel seemed to be drifting off-topic towards Intellectual property.
[livejournal.com profile] tictactoepony  wants a panel on how to find time to watch all this stuff.
Science panels are cool.

Picocon next week.  Busy busy busy.
