A feegle marries a fairy.
Aug. 17th, 2009 10:03 amSo,
tinkerbell1980 and
medium_jock /Tal and David are now married.
Pics will come...
So, set off the day before. 5 hour drive. I had company in the form of Harriet who was a bit stuck when it came to getting there. So picked up Harriet at the station. Stuck in traffic on M25. It's impossible to drive a quarter of the way around the M25 without getting stuck in traffic at least once. Arrived eventually. Checked in. Checked out room. Caught up with the happy couple to be at dinner. Was invited to join them and their families. Had a lovely dinner. Also learned that my reputation for eating lots has spread to Israel.
Ceremony itself was a pleasant, fairly informal affair. Tal looked very pretty in white. She also looked insanely happy. I think the squeee had gone ultra sonic at this point. Bride and groom leapt into the car (Roll Royce something or other. Think it was some flavour of Phantom or a 25/30. I am not a car geek but the straight 6 engine was a beauty.
Then off to Sampford Courtney village hall where we sat and ate and held off the attack of wasps, and all the catering was done by David's mum, and was loverly. Nice weather Photos were taken, people mingled. David's sister tried hitting on me but was turned off when I pointed outI was 17 years older then her. Lots of ogling at the shiny Rolls Royce wedding car. Tal and David proved their geekiness by dancing to Where My Heart Will take me.
Ate with friends. Then saw Tal's family at hotel and they let me join them. Tried to buy them drinks but Tal's dad insisted on paying. I was fed surplus pizza. Yum, two dinners! Collapsed on bed. Was really tired.
