A sad unhealthy little PC
Aug. 22nd, 2009 09:25 pmAngelus - my main computer - seems to have gone into a sulk because I'm spenfing so much time with Chianna. Recently he's stopped turning off properly (PSU doesn't shut down), and since the other day he started to crash with a flickering screen after a few minutes.
I lack a suitable set of components to diagnose this. Something suggests the graphics card is on the fritz (I'm not sure this really makes sense but my intuition is usually pretty good with this stuff) but I don't have a replacement PCI or PCI-E one to check this with. It's not easy to tell if the thing works if there's no display. Will have to try swapping PSU and hard disks about to see whether they're actually the problem.
Anyone got a graphics card I can borrow? Unfortunately I threw out that S3 Trio card years ago.
