Just need to wait another 10080 minutes
Feb. 10th, 2010 01:09 pmI think I'm having problems with Wednesdays.
Got to the station, bought a ticket (London + travelcard). Just missed the train by a few seconds. Actually minus 30 seconds or so because the damn thing left early. Had a few minutes to kill so went to look at the ticket machine. Turns out I could have got a ticket to Imperial Wharf for a fiver less. Went to the ticket office to point this out.
Me: "I bought this ticket but the machine says I could have got it for £19.90"
Ticket Lady: "No. It's £25.80 for London. Otherwise you'll have to change at Clapham Junction "
"That's what I want to do. It's a 4 minute train ride from Clapham Junction as opposed to changing twice after Victoria."
"I've never heard of a £19.90."
"The ticket machine has. Can I have a refund so I can buy the ticket from the machine"
So, I eventually get to Imperial Wharf. Walk to the studio. Check the email that says who I need to talk to and what time it is. Check the date and realise that it's in 7 days time. I guess it could have been worse. I spotted this before I went in.
On the way back I left my hat on the train. It may not be a stylish hat but it's very warm.
So, anyone fancy meeting up in London around lunchtime on Wednesday 17th?
