Red card through the door.

We attempted to deliver a package but this package requires a signature.

So I amble down to the post office.  No queue.  Receive a package.  It's the HD-DVD version of Stardust!  Completely forgot I ordered it!

Woohoo!  I got a prezzie!  I'll have to thank myself later.

That will be happy thought day 7!  So that's a complete week.  I can go back to being my usual miserable self!

My nemesis

I hate Fujitsu Siemens PCs.  Specifically the one that belongs to my Sister-in-law.

My mum acquired these free from work a while ago.  They were a problem looking for a solution for ages.  Thought perhaps my brother might like one.  No.  The Compaq I gave him may have been a bit wimpy but it was much better - mainly because it had enough memory.  Eventually one of them was donated to sister in law.  It didn't work.  Took ages to eventually diagnose the problem to bad RAM. Fortunately there were two of these PCs so she got the other one.  Have spent ages fiddling with it.  It has a rubbish SiS chipset that doesn't support her 1440x900 display, the webcam never seemed to work properly (it's a decent enough Microsoft one so should be fine) and today it just stopped working.  I have no idea why.  Oh, and it has next to no memory.

No network, no sound.  Explorer takes an aeon to start up.  Search doesn't work, half the applications don't work.  Something must have disappeared.  I have no idea what.  I certainly can't reinstall without an installation disk.
