Luckykaa - a life in cock-ups
Aug. 27th, 2012 08:10 pmI've made so many mistakes recently, and this isn't really like Control Freak Neil.
So, a while ago I booked a return ticket to London, and somehow got the wrong day. I managed to get my carpet cleaned twice. Booking my flight for Discworld, I got the wrong week, meaning I needed to make an despearate phone call to expedia to sort this out. I didn't realise that DWCon was running over a bank holiday weekend (otherwise I would have booked an extrea night and a flight the following day, so I could have done the dead monkey party). And I almost failed to fill in the ESTA form in time for my flight to the US.
Will get back to con blogging shortly. This is an aside. Just hope I'll have relaxed after holiday and will stop making these silly, potentially expensive mistakes. I'm used to life running a lot more smoothly.
Edit:
On the plus side, while waiting for friends in the station, I did manage to top up my phone, recce the local places to eat, chat with a pink-blonde haired german, check I had enough credit on my oyster, and sort out a chunk of travel cash.
