(no subject)

So, did some worldcon stuff. 

Went to a first panel item.  Listened to a very boring voiced woman talk about a subject for a few minutesd before the droning drove me nuts and I left to try the panel on what we should expect people to know in terms of maths.  Then went to a talk on astronomy (much of it involved complaining bitterly but entertaningly how so many astronomers had got the right data and made completely wrong conclusions), then the opening ceremony.  Rock intro froma live band, and intros music from the band for each guest.  Scalzi is a great tostmaster 

Wandered arounf the exibition area.  They have retro games!  Also a mech warrior sim game.

Apparently there's Starship Artemis kicking about somewhere.
