(no subject)

Today I went to Dubrovnik and it was the best day ever!

flickums bravely and heroically got on a plane, and apart from a mild panic every time there was any bump or noise seemed okay. Evn brave enough to look out the wndow when I pointed out where Salzburg probably was, and what I presume were the Alps

So we arrived. Drive from the airport is lovely. Windy mountain roads along the coast, with excellent views.

Checked in. Tried out balcony. Explored room. Ambled to the part of town with restaurants. We found a restaurant that had fantastic food in a fantastic location and pretty reasonable prices. Music was a from a live band playing easy listening versions of classics (they were actually pretty good for ambient music). Table was right by the wall by the sea. Area was fairly quiet it being the end of the tourist season, but enough people that there was an atmosphere.

We walked around town. Very seasidy. Lots of shops selling tourist tat, arcades (They had Sega Rally), bars. then we went paddling and then we lay on the loungers and stared up at the stars.

Things to do: Get postcards. Post postcards. Try out hotel spa. Visit Old Town. Go on cable car. Snuggle flickums.
