I am not a furry!

Mind you, I have had a hankering to run a Wind In The Willows based tabletop for a while, based on Winter In The Willows - post apocalyptic steampunk. This requires anthropomorphic miniatures. There really aren't a lot a of options here. But we were at Partizan wargaming show. There were many traders, including one that had heads and tails for modding 28mm miniatures.

I still deny being a furry dammit! But they did a nice offer of a set of human figures, and enough heads to make them all anthros.

So, I made my purchase, and looked around at games to play. Had a go at Wings Of War. A WW2 flying aces game. Pretty good fun. Mechanics were card based, which tends to be good for fast pace games. Alas my plane got shot down but not before causing an opponent plane to catch fire. It was good fun, even as I went down in a blaze of glory!

Also I received a sticky bullet hole as a reward.

[personal profile] flickums  was keen to play a Discworld based racing game. Essentially it was Formula De with a few additional rules for witches. They gave us a CD with the rulebook on it. I asked if there was a "million to one" event card. There wasn't but they seemed to think it was a good idea, where you roll a d10 and as long as it's not a10 the benefit happens.

So, having seen all that, we looked around a little more. And saw a set of miniatures that are explicitly based off Wind in the Willows. Ratty, Mole, Mr. Toad and more.

Nice set though. White metal, 10 pieces. No need for assembly. Nicely detailed. really nice box. Also came with a set of polyhedral dice.

I'm not a furry!! But I do seem to keep buying anthros!
