Lockdown - Month 7
Oct. 30th, 2020 02:47 pmI never knew working at home could be so dull...
Or that lockdown would last this long.
I quite like not having to drive to work.
What I don't like is that I've lost my mancave. I need proper segregation between home-life and work-life and so the home office in my mancave is out of bounds outside of work time.
Flickums works in the living room. I get the impression that that makes that less appealing during off work hours.
I have to say, I'm fed up with this. I reckon this could have been dealt with by now if the government didn't reopen pubs and restaurants.
On the plus side - I have managed a few achievements.
Built a shed
Replaced a fence.
Fixed my bike. Sorta.
Bought a drawing tablet and paint software.
Refilled my beanbag.
I just want to get away. I want to be able to do something fun. I've been putting on weight, despite being well under the recommended calorie intake and lack of anywhere to go doesn't help a lot here. My life seems to be a tedious cycle of wake up, work, kill time in the evenings. Go to bed. Then I have two days of weekend to recover and that never seems enough. It feels like Groundhog Day.
I guess it will all be over soon, but I Punxsutawney Phil says we have a few more months of Winter.
