Well, that was one of the coolest roleplaying games I've played.

Puppetland is set in an puppet dystopia, ruled over by Punch and his boys and his scary army of nutcrackers.  Simple rules - the game lasts exactly an hour, anything you say at the table is said by your character, and it's all about telling a story.  So if you want to search the room, you say "Well, I'm going to search the room and see what I can find", and the puppet master translates that into an action.

I was a speedy finger puppet called Grink Gribbly who couldn't pronounce the letter R.  We also had a cowageous butterfly shadow puppet a clever monkey, a cunning fox, a cowawdly hedgehog and a kindly mawionette, and we had to save the mice fwom pwison.  It's weally a lot of fun staying in chawacter for the whole game.  Of couwse I did twy to contwive sentences that had a lot of R's in.

So yeah.  It's a diceless system with no XP or numbers, so it's all about coming up with clever ideas and the fact that it's told as a childrens' story works well becuse it's a story format that just about everyone is familiar with.

I would've given you extra kudos for incorporating the phrase "top rank entertainment" into your dialogue.

Sounds great! I'm all for diceless systems, and the world looks lovely and twisted!
