James Bond take 2

luckykaaWent to the Empire Leicester Square to see Bond again. Actually got to see the film this time. No usherette to see us to our seats though, and booking tickets was a little harder than it should have been. I thik that it should be possible to queue jump by buying tickets by credit card. That's the whole point of telephone booking after all. The Empire just doesn't let you. The ticket collection point and the ticket purchase point are the same.
Ah well, after the film, we saw the making of. After the making of, we went to have a meal. Found this oriental type place that seemd to do varous different types of food.
Very tasty. I ordered the Teryaki Chicken with Shitake mushrooms. So did Claire. Julian had some noodly thing with chicken. We also ordered an Aubergine thing between us. The aubergine thing was an intriguing flavour. I seemed to be the only one who liked tit though. Service was a little slow, but we were in no real rush. Half way through, I discovered that my chicken was a little underdone. This was met with absolute dismay by the waiter, who took it away, and returned a short time later with a whole new meal. New piece of chicken, another dish of rice, and another lot of mushrooms. I'd almost finished the last one as well. I found starting again was rather bloating. Following this, I had an iced coffee. Unexpectedly warm, but rather good still. Claire had a chocolate tart.
What, were you expecting a Bond review? Okay, here it is:
Fun, but rather silly. Invisible cars!? Although of course, only when it suits the plot. And some of the special effects weren't up to much. Bond films are supposed to do everything for real. Okay, we can let them off blowing large areas up, and that looked okay anyway, but some of it was obviously done with models, and there was this surfing scene that looked totally fake. The CG ice had poorly done texturing, and bond just looked totally superimposed.
