Next to nothing.

But I've got nothing else to do whilst waiting for a compile so I'll update.

There was that interview on Thursday. Journey time is slightly longer than getting to Caledonian road, but there's something to be said for having a seat. There's more to be said for having a bench all to myself. So I had a relaxed journey, finished the crossword, and I got there horrible early as I always do for an interview. Then I decided to hang around for a bit until I was only about 10 minutes early. Went for the interview. They past the first test with flying colours (offered me a coffee). Then they gave me a test. It was the same one they gave me last time, although I don't think I did as well as I did the previous time. The interview went well. I was asked how I'd go about designing a whole new game GUI system. This was convenient because it was something I'd been thinking about on the way up there. So, I gave my answer (largely designed using XML, or something similar, and keep the gui drawing and event handling separate from the actual game code.

Anyway, I felt it went okay. Not sure I want the job. Journey times are a little too long (slightly over an hour). The interviewer brought up crunch and they have a fairly sane policy, so unless that's a lie it should be okay.

Weekend was enjoyably uneventful. Went to 80's night at Underworld in Camden. Well, yeah It was fun and 80s-y. Get a bit annoyed always going on my own though. I need more London fiends.

The next couple of days I flirted online a bit, and tried to get a bit further with my game. Actually, I succeeded, just not as far as I would have liked. I'm now creating objects. A better version of stl wouldn't go amiss of course. How hard can it be? Maybe I should just stop using Watcom. Sadly, I don't like any other IDE. Not too fond of Watcom either, but I've got used to its quirks.

Also upgraded to thelatest version of Firefox. Something I'd encouarage all ie users to use.

I got an email confirming tickets for Redemption. Once again, I'm after costume ideas. I think the Psi-cop was a good one, but it's nice not to do the same thing twice. Sci-fi themed costume ideas.... What else can I do? There's always Captain Proton again. I did it a few years ago, and still have my rocket pack. I'd really need to revisit it, put in a little more work, make the rockets less bottle shaped, add some decent straps, and get some goggles and a more suitable ray gun.

Part 3 of the acting workshop this evening. Improvisation.
