Various things have been mildly irritating this week.  Traffic from Cheltenham, traffic to Cheltenham, inability to contact person over keys to Cheltenham shared house.

I also saw this article bout druids becoming an official religion from the Daily Hate Mail. The name rang a bell, so So I read up on Melanie Philips.  As well as this hysterical article, she also doesn't believe in evolution (it's just a theory!  Like heliocentrism), thinks the MMR vaccine causes autism, and is a global warming denier.

I have come to the conclusion that Ms. Philips is simply a troll.

The troll theory might be right. Many newspapers have writers who's job it it is to stir things up. Their logic is that people come to hate these writers so much that they dare not miss an issue to see what rubbish they've come up with next.

I usually avoid the Daily Mail like burning, and having just read this, I now remember why. I'm not even going to -start- ranting about everything that was enraging about this article, because I'm sure it would exceed the maximul character length. Bah.

The Daily Maul sure has a lot of trolls though. Imagine being stuck on a desert island with Melanie Philips, Jan Moir and the other maulers :(

I'm not going near the article. It may make me fully homicidal. I was really chuffed at the recognition of druidry considering the many years of campaigning to get pagan religions given equal status.

That could be fun. I'd just have to tell my rescuers I was the only survivor.

"The name rang a bell"
So until now you were not familiar with the, umm, work of the Daily Femail? How on earth did you manage to escape for this long?

She dislikes paganism, and yet the Gods have still gifted he self-knowledge:

...it is a negation of reason....

Chortle.
