I've found the car I like. It's a Peugeot 206 2.09 HDi with lots of bells and whistles. Well, no actual bells or whistles, but a 6 CD changer in the boot, Air con.

Test drove similar car. Seems perfectly nice. I'll have to actually have a test of that one, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. Its a reputable peugeot dealer, so they've got their good name on the line.

Offered me £300 for my car, which is about £300 more than its worth. I think actually this counts as a discount on the car, and a free offer to take my existing car away.

On the way back, someone clipped the front of my car. Thought he'd just got the mirror.

Got back, discovered that he'd actually whacked the bumper out of shape. Bugger! I should have stopped, and got out, and looked. Not that I think I could have been bothered with getting the thing fixed. Still a bit annoying. I mean the garage proably isn't going to care one way or the other really.

A friend of mine has the 206 2.0 HDi GLX (which has the CD autochanger, automatic wash/wipe, fog lights) that he might want to sell at some point (its less than 2 years old though so not sure if you want to spend that much), he can certainly answer any questions you may have. He's on livejournal as stuartl. Just tell him you're a friend of mine for a -5% discount :)

I've decided to go for this one. Although there's probably not a lot of difference between the two.

I just really wanted a car before Christmas.
