Happy New Year

Finally got to a new year party. Went to the House of Anime. Unlike last year, I actually got a new year kiss. Yay! No chocolate fondue to outclass me this year:)
Unlike lots of other people, I rather liked 2005, after a shaky start. So, what are my new years esolutions? Well, I don't have any per se. I tend not to do that sort of thing. The middle of winter is the worst time for me to make lifestyle changes, and why should I wait anyway? i've already made the decision to backup more often and get out more, but I've had a few days off work, so it's as good a time as any for a little reflection, so what do I want from this year?
Well, I still want to move back to Bristol, but that doesn't look likely yet. So, I should make the best of what I have... This means I still need to make more friends in London. This is difficult since I'm kinda choosy about friends. Would also be nice to find somewhere better to live. I will have to see what sort of a mortgage I could manage. How extremely dull.
And I rather enjoyed New Year's day. Involved roast dinner, curry, and lots of X-Files and Look Around You.
I still haven't managed independent confirmation of the existence of
spacefall. I did discover that many people in Bristol were quite happy to share their wireless networks. Perhaps they didn't realise how insecure they are. I think it's rather a shame that people are so pleased with their wireless network, but are totally oblivious to the need for security. Okay - I'm not going to do anything too mean. I will take advantage of it to check email, which is pretty harmless. Other people could use it for all sorts of mischief.
