luckykaaFlatmate's network connection died. Tried plugging a different network cable into his laptop, and it worked, so assumed the cable must have got damaged (these things happen - doors shut on them and stuff).
So I bought a new betwork cable, which involved a round trip to the depot ot collect, unravelled the old one, threaded the new one behind all my furniture, plugged it in, and it still didn't work.
Turns out it's a broken router socket. Doh! Plugged the cable into socket 2 and it works.
Anyone want a 20m network cable?
