One of my flatmates is moving out. The landlord is looking for a replacement.

Someone knocked on the door saying that he'd agreed with the landlord that he'd be see the flat. So I showed him around, and then checked the answering machine to see if there was a message from the landlord. Yes there was. Apparently "people will be looking at the place in the next couple of days between 7:30 and 8:30-9"

Thanks mate. Isn't it a little presumptious to assume that I'll be in and able to show people around? And where does he get off taking away my evening to do his job?

Tomorrow - I'm out!

Presumptuous? Very.

Erm, out as in going out or leaving to find another landlord?

Nobody here but us chickens

Just as in "We're all out". He's not that terrible a landlord, and it's quite a nice place. Plus there's no council tax because the rooms are let out individually. He just tends to do this sort of thing rather too much, and I've got better things to do than advertise this property for him.

I've had very little experience of having to show someone round a house so I don't know exactly that situation. Having said that, I really don't like being advantage of and I have quite a few examples of that. *sigh*
If the landlord does it much more, I suggest having a few choice words otherwise things may get out of hand.
Good luck
