Plus side - I ordered a GeForce 4200 Ti for the price of the MX. Not a great saving, but it's nice to have a new card. Still can't quite work out if this has video in. Must have a play later.

Since it is the price of a MX, make sure it is a 4200Ti. After that, I doubt if it has video in. My 4200Ti has Composite and S-Video out but no video in. I think that there was only one version (in my manufacturer's range) which has VIVO and it costs more (about a Ti4400 price) so your one is unlikey (but not impossible) to have VIVO functions.

Defintiely a Ti

Checked the manufacturers website. I think it was probably mispriced. It's the budget version of their Ti range anyway - 4200 rather than a 4600. Since I'm more concerned with features than speed, this will do nicely. Wouldn't touch an MX with a bargepole. I'd rather have a GeForce 3.

Also definitely no VIVO. The VIVO on the back panel must be a generic panel thing.

There are three versions of the GF4Ti range
4200, 4400 and 4600. The 4400s are rare now since most 4400s can be overclocked to 4600 speeds and thus reducing the profits from the 4600 range. That's what I've heard anyway.

VIVO connector: it's prolly just Video out rather than Video in/out. It is on my card and produces quite a high quality TV out image. The connector has two more pins than an S-Video cable since they are the composite output (via a short adapter lead).
