Ceroc wasn't as much fun as usual. Seems most of the regulars staff were off sick, so we had someone else teach us. He seemed a bit full of himself. The guy doing the beginners bit was not too bad though. Bit under-organised but he did explain he'd been recruited only a couple of days earlier.

I'm still incompetent.

Actually, that's not totally true. I seem to be getting almost capable at this. (This week we did Armjive, First Move, Man turn, Slo comb for those who care). I can actually do these moves, and mix them with other ones I know. And I've got good enough to be mildly amused by complete newcomers. I've even been known to offer advice to my partner (usually don't hold on with your thumbs). Perhaps I should move up to intermediate.

I still need to learn a few more left-handed moves. The only ones I'm confident with are the comb, and yoyo. Since only one of those is right to left, I'm kinda limited when it comes to switching back to the left hand.

learn the hatchback ( think that's what it's called) starts like a yoyo... but instead of pulling the lady back in front of you, flick her away when your arm is across your chest... she does a free spin and you just turn to face and catch... easy move that gives you lots of thinking time.... also an easy way of catching with the other hand if you need to swap back.

I find the best advice to give is the advice that stops them breaking your arm/fingers/wrist. I feel much better after giving that advice.
