Dark poetry
Mar. 3rd, 2003 10:20 pmI saw Solaris (remake) the other day Not quite sure what to make of it, since I really can't work out what it's about. Still, something struck me - There was a line from the poem "And Death Shall Have No Dominion" (by Dylan Thomas, apparently). One of the jokes was his favourite poem started "There was a young man from Nanticket"
But there aren't really all that many limericks are there about death? Somhow, its a little difficult to fit the sentiment into the verse structure, even if some key lines will fit.
There once was a crazed West Virginian,
Whose lover was taken by death's minion.
lovers may be lost,
love shall not
And death shall have no dominion.
I was a little distraced during that film...
