Ahhh... Relaxing weekend

Stress levels now back to bearable.

Went to kittiewitch's "I've just got a job" party. Seems like a perfectly good reason to celebrate. I think there are about 2 people who read this who weren't there, but I'm still going to write about, for this is my LJ.

I had nothing else to do all day, so I decided to head up to Bristol a little early. Noticed that someone had called me but not left a message on my voicemail, and I really didn't feel like ringing back. It later turned out to be raygungothic asking for a lift from London. Ooops. Sorreee! He didn't seem too put out by this actually, but I felt rather bad.

I arrived far too unfashionably early to justify arriving for the party, so I called Nick and spent a short amount of time at the pub. He made me dinner, which was rather nice. So, we turned up to the party, and there were lots of people I hadn't met before. Fortunately most of them were called Helen, so that made it easier. I did spend a lot of time talking to one of the Helen's, but she did have remarkably cool socks.

We were thrown out when it appeared that one guest was starting to get too irritating. "Everybody who isn't sleeping here, get out now" is the level of tact I appreciate. I was going to spend the night on their floor, but in the end there were too many people staying, so Nick put me up instead. I wasn't too put out by that. Nick has a more private floor - I wasn't sharing his living room with anyone - and if I wake up before everyone else, he has cable TV and a Tivo with lots of things to watch on it, so I didn't mind.

Felt I should visit some other friends. Played Vice City on Ivor's PS2, and looked at his Transformers. He has an original Optimus Prime!!!! In the sort of condition I approve of as well - Mostly intact, but a couple of bits are broken through being played with (Damaged exhaust pipe and bits like that). The thing is, this makes it worthless to a collector, but a fan will feel quite comfortable just playing with it.

Still didn't manage to clean my car though. I finally found a jetwash after I was leaving Bristol, and it was getting late.

ended up getting back really late, resulting in the level of tiredness that makes me forget to end things properly
