luckykaaYour Sci-fi season is taking up way too much of my telly watching time! Some of it is rather good.
Not quite decided about Doomwatch. It all seems a little slow and a little tatty. Overlit and shot on video. Plus they showed Tomorrow the Rat, and I couldn't help wondering when Dangerous Beans and Peaches would make an appearance.
I like Adam Adamant. the concept was great but the series never did quite compare with the Avengers. The characters are good but you can see how much more cheaply it was made.
Random Quest - Nice idea. Seemed a little too self referential.
Martians And Us is rather good. So is "The Cult of...", and it's nice that we get people who know the subject rather than second rate comedians. Even the jokes are better. Mark Lawsons interviews are interesting enough but I don't think I learned anything new from either Iain [M]. Banks or Terry Pratchett. Apart from the nuclear industry's PR policy when Terry Pratchett was working there.
But all this means I'm way behind on the rest of my telly watching. I have Night Watch sitting demanding that I watch it, and I still have to see this week's torchwood. There aren't enough hours in the day! Is there a way I can get paid for being a professional Sci-fi nerd?
