I guess I may as well update. Not that I have a lot to say.
Went to Alton Towers for Andrews Stag Do type thingy. It was fun. No queue for the two most popular rides, so that was good. Actually, I've always wanted to go there, but my parents would never take me. Too far away. I can sort of see their point. I would have hated to have had a brat with me. Still, I enjoyed the day.
Came back to Bristol. Enjoyable trip along the M6, M5, M4, M32. Easy route to take. Just keep going down one at a time. Tiring though. Maybe I should have insured my car for any driver. Could have kidnapped an alternative driver.
Lots of people went clubbing, so I joined them. Never have been a clubber though. I blam emy flatmates for going to tacky cheesy clubs and putting me off for life. I realised that the darker gloomier clubs are more entertaining.
Went to see Hulk with mad Cumbrian. "You wouldn't like me when I'm Ang Lee.". Actually, It was quite good, but took far too long to get anywhere. Sure we need some sort of genesis, but it was like we were obliged to watch an extra short film before a full on action movie.
Driving home, I saw a crash happen. Nothing serious. A car was going too fast (Hey, guys - Those signs saying "50" are there for a reason), there was a queue of traffic. I carefully slowed down and stopped at the back, whereas another driver approached too fast, failed to realise that brakes don't work as well when your wheels lock, and slowly cruised into the back of another car at about 10mph. It's a strange experienc ewatching something like that happen so slowly yet knowing everyone is powerless to do anything about it. Apart from the driver, who could have released the brake for a second to get some traction.
Ah well.
After heavy deadlines at work, I now seem to have nothing to do. This isss annoying. I've written a proposal on how to do X, but the manager hasn't found time to look at it. and X is rather trivial anyway. I could have implemented it in half the time it took to write the proposal. Plus that will always end up being wrong because the code never works the way you might expect. Especially when its as complicated as a game with all the abstraction we've got.
This weekend I played around with Linux, and my flatmate had his birthday, so we went to the pub. Why does he always choose pubs that have no real ale?
God, I'm such a whiner.
I'm currently wondering whether I can make a little extra casj on the side by buying obscure stuff from obscure auction sites, and seling it on ebay. Will have to give it a go.
Ummm....
Firefly is good. Shame it only lasted for half a season.
Okay. News is now over.
