Damn You Dickinson!
Feb. 24th, 2019 12:11 pmVisited Antwerp to see some friends. And Bruce Dickinson.
David and Natasja are a lovely couple, both artists.
flickums has known them for a while. I met them last year. Since we're not in the same country often, we went to Antwerp to visit.
Spent a fun afternoon playing video games, and spent the evening eating tasty Mediterranean influenced food. It was delicious! And there was a lot of it!!
Flickums had tickets to see "An evening with Bruce Dickinson" - apparently he's the singer in a popular beat combo called "Iron Maiden". Tickets were a little too expensive for me to want to join, so I went for Drinks with David. Sat outside and drank beer. Probably not a good idea in February when I have a cold but I like sitting outside in Belgium and I like Belgian beer so I didn't want to miss my chance.
Discussed this and that and worry that I may be responsible for a future mad scientist conquering the world with giant robots.
Had plans for show to finish, then we'd get the train back and not be home too late. I still had a cold. Didn't want to stay up past midnight.
Got a message from Flickums just as the talk was about to end. They had apparently reached the interval... Show didn't finish until almost an hour later than planned. I was feeling very tired and unwell by this point. So not at all happy with you Mr. Dickinson. Still, Flickums had a good time.
