What is the point of Facebook? 

It seems popular but I can't quite work out how I can use it other than for it to tell me who my friends are. Since I have to tell it first, it seems redundant.  Are we just meant to get the high score of most names added? 

And riddle me this...

Well, I've just sent friend requests to a load of folks I used to hang out with at college, who it'd be interesting to catch up with.

As for the names, as the link that you fancied them all?

My guess for sources are: TMNT (or Tenage Mutant Hero Turtles), Little Shop of Horrors, Voyager, Bonnie and Clyde, Neighbours, no idea and the only Kaylee I know is Kaylee Frye (as in Firefly), but that's a different spelling, because it's short for Kaywinnit Lee Frye.

I'm still figuring out the point of facebook ... I started playing Pirates but then had a look at the high score table and gave up. I answer a few friends questions, I look for people that I know (since that's much harder on LJ) and I'm looking at whether the photo app is much cop, but after that ... it's just refreshing the home page to see if I've got a friend request and seeing that my status is always out of date. Oh, and watching my friends install and remove various applications. The never ending movie quiz was fun, though *every* true/false question I had (at least twenty) had the answer "true".

Points of facebook...
- to waste even more time procrastinating online instead of working?
- to find old school friends (one of mine is now married & about to begin training to be a vicar!)
- To find out what's going on around campus (admittidly this isn't applicable to everyone but at silwood it's great for advertising BBQs etc)

What is the point of Facebook?

I don't know, I've not been able to work it out. Most people I know seem to use it as a way of talking to people which involves more effort then email.

People talk about spending all evening on it, but I don't don't see how.

I got a Facebook account because I needed one to see a friend's photos (give me Flickr any day). I didn't realise it was going to publish my full name and have had several unexpected and sometimes unwelcome approaches since. I have now found out how to turn off allowing web-bots to find it but was unimpressed that they put that on by default. The UI sucks the sweat of a dead man's balls and all the plugins are just irritating.

I cheated and did a quick google, an image search for 'fio mechanic' gets the cover for the dvd on page one and a still of her on page two. I've seen it about ten years ago and forgotten the character names, but I doubt you've watched it.

I think from this that we can conclude that mr luckykaa hasn't met and settled down with the love of his life yet as we haven't invited enough animated female mechanics to our social gatherings.

Pirate gold, arrrr! I also have a monkey and a parrot, which is nice :D

It also means I can spy on what friends are up to...although LJ is *far* better for that ;)
