Carpet cleaning

I tried to glue the soles back to a pair of boots.  Then got some impact adhesive on the carpet.  Ooops.

A bit of research told me that lighter fluid will get it off.  Pour on fluid.  Leave for a minute.  Scrub with a towel (avoid synthetics).  And it did work! 

I now have a very visible extra-clean patch of carpet.

I think I need a carpet dirtyer.
