Dealers' room now actually open. Am tempted to buy Tales from Earthsea DVD. Some purple con t-shirts but I'm 2 X's smaller than the average fan. Stardust trailer. Looks pretty. Not sure about the acting. Art show has typical tacky sf&f stuff. Must look at Comic Mart later.

Turns out Japanese transliteration of my surname is the same as Saruman.

George Takai talk. Sulu was attacked by a Klingon! George has a lot to say about everything. In English, Japanese & Spanish.

Dinner was from a place entirely in Japanese (even the prices) but it had pictures. Still not sure about how I was meant to eat it.

I seem to have an internet so I shall stop here.

Maybe '09.

Worldcon 08 is in Denver. Which I'm told is quite nice, but doesn't really strike me as a must-see place, and I find going through US immigration a bit of a turn-off.

In 2009 it's in Montreal which definitely looks like a nice place to visit.

*nods* Good reason. I've friends in Denver, and I tend to holiday there every year anyway (whenever the research gets too much), so I'll probably be going.

I know what you mean about "nothing to see", though. It's really just another big city: the people are what turn a trip into a holiday.
