I've started to become so wanted.  Majorcan company wanted to give me a second interview.  Sheffield-based Sumo Digital look like they're going to give me the job that I went up for, and LucasArts want to see me regarding a job in San Francisco.

This would all be a lot nicer if I didn't have a job.  Actually that's not the problem.  I could ignore all of them in that situation (except LucasArts).  The problem is I have no idea whether I'm still going to have a job this time next month.  There's only so long I can keep other people hanging on.

In other news, I met a very nice girl the other day.  Met online.  Decided to meet up.  Went for a drink.  She liked me enough to go to Moshi Moshi with me.  Not enough to let me pay for her.  Enough to go for another drink.  Not enough to want to make physical contact at all.  Seemed a little unsure of herself.  Sweet girl though.  Will have to see if she wants to meet up again.

There be no pleasing you. Unhappy with job interest, unhappy with no job interest...

You will just have to make a decision!

Sounds like your job offers are imitating buses... all turning up at once. Be pleased! Stop fearing your employability and go for it.

Good luck with the girl.

Take it slow with the girl and you'll be fine!

Re jobs - are you sure you want your current one considering how much they are messing you around? Maybe take new one anyway? :D

Possibly your perception of her being unsure may be her trying to figure out if she likes you or not, and not wanting to throw herself into something she hasn't decided she wants yet.
Give her time to make up her mind, seem interested but not pushy for anything beyond what you already have you'll probably know when she has decided something one way or t'other. Good Luck.

Not enough to let me pay for her
That's not a sign she doesn't like you. That's a sign she values her financial independence, and that she doesn't quite know you well enough to know that if you had payed for her, she wouldn't 'owe you'. Persevere, she's probably shy.

True.

The fact that she emailled saying she isn't is a good indication:) Ah well.

For goodness sake! Your current company is rubbish - they keep messing you around. Even if they extend your contract there's still no security. Get a good offer from somebody who might treat you better and take it.

Really don't want to leave Brighton. Took me long enough to get here.

That and I feel I have something to prove. For various reasons I didn't really impress them on the previous project. And I really want to work on this particular game.

I will keep looking for more stable employment though. If they want to stick with the fixed term contracts indefinitely they can go screw themselves.
