luckykaaAs part of a whale tracking scheme, Greenpeace decided that they should find a name for one of their whales. Some 11 000 names were submitted, and the public were invited to choose the ones they like best.
The ideas are often poetic, and apt for a whale - names such as ", meaning "divine power of the ocean" in Polynesian, and "" - the Innuit goddess of the sea were considered.
After an enthusiastic campaign by Reddit and BoingBoing, the leading cnadidate by a huge margin is "Mr. Splashy Pants"!
