When did I develop a work ethic?
Nov. 20th, 2002 10:27 pmIt's most unpleasant. I actually feel myself caring about how well our product does. I never felt like this in my previous job. Quite unsettling. I think this is a cooler product though. I prefer computer games to microchips. I understand how the damn things work for one thing. Not quite sure I'm suited to doing what I'm doing though. I have this problem with high level design - I work around issues in existing code. Not a problem in general, but when we control our libraries, it would make more sense to bash them about to get them to do what I want them to do.
Still, I'm quite happy. Staying up late meant I had a none of the distractions of the level designer complaining that bits are broken. Managed to find a problem nested within acres of code, and got free Pizza out of it.
And here's a message to anyone lurking and reading this. make yourself known or I shall use <flash> tags!
