luckykaaI have mixed feelings about April Fools Day. On one hand, it's quite nice to have a bit of levity and a lot of the silly stories are quite amusing, on the other hand, a lot of people don't actually know how to be funny.
Still, there were some good 'uns.
From the BBC - Flying penguins. Cute. I want it to be true!
From Thinkgeek - a Betamax to HD DVD converter.
Virgin and Google to set up a base on Mars. (Can't imagine the ping times being that good).
It's a busy time for Google since they plan to add time travel capabilities to Gmail.
For inspiration for next year - some harmless geek pranks.
And finally - from the BBC again, 10 stories that actually aren't April fools
