Camden Market

luckykaaAs I mentioned, went to Camden Market on Sunday...
What I wanted was some leather trousers and a leather waistcoat. On a budget. Last time I went there there was a nice still in the Electric Ballroom Market. They turn the club into a market during the day at weekends... Vague information I had was that Sundays was the fashion market and Saturday was the record market.
Really wasn't in the mood for it since I'm still recovering from the nasty bug of throatness but this was the only Sunday I'd had free for a while so I had to take the opportunity.
Went there. Straight to Electric Ballroom. Bugger all in the way of leathers. Well, that was a let down. Nothing suitable along the streets, so, I headed to the Stables. Feels odd there. Apart from the renovation at the back, other bits feel like they've been changed or removed or added. The place has always been a bit of a maze, which is part of its charm. I found a very nice shop full of leather jackets and a few waistcoats. Mostly lady's. Still, I found one for a man. Amazingly it was a good fit.
So that was nice.
Not so lucky with trousers though. A small selection none in anything like my size or gender. Lovely soft leather though.
So, not a huge success, and apologies to anyone who I should have visitted but didn't. I just wanted to get there and back and collapse on my bed. I promise to do better next time.
