Geekend in Bristol.

luckykaaAnother lovely weekend.
Went to Xanthien's 30th birthday party Joined the merry throng withlemming_man, masterofapath and tictactoepony. Dressed as Captain Jack Harkness (theme was military uniforms). Ate lots of food. Tried to mingle a bit, but people seemed a bit cliquey. Was nice to see tigerpixie and mr. tigerpixie again Hadn't seen those two for aaaages so that was cool.
On the confusing named Saturday, went to see Nick my ex-flatmate. The rest of the crowd tagged along. Drank tea. Went to Hope and Anchor. Ate food.spacefall joined us later for additional geeking. Went back to chez nick to drink more tea and watch Doctor Who. Always nice to see Doctor Who with a big group of fans.
So I got back late on Saturday night. (23:54 so it was still Saturday even) wanted to get lots done on Sunday. In the end I didn't. Brother was visiting my parents to pick up my nephew, so I saw him but that involved lots of waiting for complex reasons. Got home. Just wasn't in the mood for creativity. Did get invited round toghostpaw's for dinner, which was nice. Had very nice stuffed marrow.

Would have liked a better regeneration resolution. They could have used the Doctor clone mechanism to have degenerated to the tenth doctor and worked out a different ending for Rose. Could have got a big name for the 11th temp Doctor (then killed him firmly) and caused endless fanwank speculation there about the re-regeneration. Yeah - RTD wanted to give Rose a happy ending.
Also a shame about Donna not being allowed to remember anything. That sort of thing always feels disappointing.
