Interview went reasonably well...  Techy questions outside my area of expertise.  He did finish on a things I like and dislike about C++.  I think I answered that fairly comprehensively.  Hell, any C++ programmer can find 100 things they dislike about the language. 

Have submitted my CV to a Gumtree job ad.  Seems McAfee are opening a Brighton studio.  Right now this is looking like a big sign that says "Egress games industry here!". This is a good thing. 

Updated my CV and sent it to Planet Recruit.  Wish there were agents representing areas other than the games industry.  How do other people escape? 

Downtime stuff for Maelstrom is now available.  Will have to consider what Kekoa will be doing over the next 90 days.  He could just spend the time bashing myself on rocks and toughening up but perhaps there's some sort of knowledge exchange he could do.

I've never been in the game industry, so haven't had to escape. All my jobs came from using non-web recruitment consultancies. Gregory Martin International (sp?) was the one who got me my current job. Perhaps give them a try?
