Saturday Night Reaver

Well, Serenity LARP was fun.

Driving up there wasn't.  Should have taken the M6 Toll.   Would have knocked a good half hour off the journey.  Should also have not avoided the long delays on the M25 since that really didn't work.  I'm sure the traffic would be a lot better if people used all three lanes though. 

But enough of the whining.  Started off as a bookie's chalk man.  Lots of excitement as the guy in the crappy shuttle (2/1 odds on even finishing!, 1000/1 on winning)  came close to winning several times. 

Later on there was a Reaver attack.  This involved running at the players and dying lots and hopefully freaking them out.  the call of "double damage, double damage, double damage, FUCK!!!", and the player running away was quite satisfying.  

Catering was provided by McSkippy's.  We thought it would be fun to have some reavers chase them so we were asked for a couple of reavers.  6 of us stood up.  It seemed like a good idea:) 

Lots of fun.  more action based than story based which was a shame since I would have liked to have done some role playing.

And we came up with some reaver filk music while waiting to attack.

I *ALWAYS* take the M6 toll. It's the nicest drive in this country- clear roads, no speed cameras or restrictions, I don't need to go under 100. Beautiful. Well worth the £5.
